The Truth About Sex – Book Review By Da Vinci
I must admit I was a little apprehensive about reviewing this book for you all, why? because it’s about SEX one of the more taboo subjects of the world. After much consideration I came to 2 conclusions 1) Your Life After 25 DOES include sex and 2) The very reason I needed to review this book was because of that Taboo feeling and notion of sex. We live in a society that promotes promiscuity, violence and other unnerving aspects of life but sex, something so beautiful is frowned upon.
The Truth About Sex- “A Sex Primer For The 21st Century” is not some taudry guide about sex, but it’s a manual and guide to opening up conversation. Sex to me is something that has been taken out of it’s context and slapped with a lot of negative connotation. If it were practiced the way it should be in the sanctity of marriage then we’d have a lot less issues in my opinion.
Author Dr.Gloria G. Brame takes the time to ask you many key questions that we’re not allowed to ask ourselves, parents and sometimes even our significant others. With alarming statistics like 10% of women have never had an orgasm, and 85% of women can’t orgasm during intercourse, I would say this is a conversation that needs to be had.
This book is not for the light at heart or close minded, I would recommend it for a good book club read or even one for you and your significant other to read together and who knows what you may learn about yourself and each other.
