Its Oscar time in Hollywood and the stars came out dress in hi-def 3D glimmer, glitz, and glam this year. It happens to be the most prominent award ceremonies in the world. And despite the fact that it is watched in over 100 countries, viewed by over 2.4 billion people worldwide, every social media platform and blogger online had but thing on our minds (and I’m certain that you gathered to witness it too)… THE FASHION DO’S and NO-SHE-DIDN’T WEAR THAT!
The 84th Annual Academy Awards brought out some the most glamorous red carpet designer fashions.
1.) Viola Davis looked absolutely stunning in a gorgeous emerald mermaid ensemble by Vera Wang that had us green with envy over this imeless beauty!
2.) Stacy Keibler arrived at the 84th Annual Academy Awards looking FAB and turning heads to get a glimpse of this stunning golden Old Hollywood gown by Giorgio Armani and gold Marchesa dress made by
3.) Nancy O’ Dell dazzles in this canary yellow gown with embroidered detailing thanks to her stylist Anya and Chagoury Couture for her gorgeous jewels and gown
4.) Maya Rudolph struck a pose in a beautiful and simple purple dress. Normally funny girl on SNL, there’s no joking her elegance here.
5.) Jennifer Lopez wowed us wearing Zuhair Murad proving that this latin mami still has the it factor when it comes to making a grand entrance
6.) Michelle Williams rocked it in a stunning orange loLouis Vuitton dress that matched her lovely boy cut
7.) Octavia Spencer represented all the plus size divas flawlessly wearing a made-to-fit, Congrats on your first ever Oscar darling!
8.) Angelina Jolie wore a black velvet Atelier Versace gown gown with a sexy slit that made the timeless black dress up to the times
Although I didn’t get ALL OF THE AWESOME celebrities and their amazing gowns for this feature, I wanted to highlight that I absolutely loved Gweneth Paltrow’s stunning white gown worn by Tom Ford. It was certainly a risk wearing a draped gown with what I thought was matching cape, shimmering jewelry for added shine to accent a dramatic touch.
Also, Glenn Close is a stunning raving beauty in the signature Oscar trend green! She was definitely making Life After 25 look great!!!

The 84th Annual Academy Awards were held this year on February 26, 2012 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. Billy Crystal was and predictably humorous and charming (for his 9th time) as host of the soiree. But ultimately, the best feast de resistance was certainly the talented designers and stylists who are truly responsible for making Hollywood’s a-list celebrities red carpet ready. Take a bow!
