So what’s hot for spring this year? We’re glad you asked… These top jewelry trends will add a stylish touch to even the most sophisticated ensemble, and they can also be worn in casual, day-to-day environments.

  1. Stud Earrings: Do you mean that massive, shoulder length, chandelier earrings are out? Say it ain’t so! One of the latest trends seen on the red carpet in 2012 is small, stud earrings that look elegant and sophisticated with formal attire. Even better, unassuming stud earrings can be worn with everyday business clothing in professional environments.

  1. Choker Necklaces: The 90s called, and they want their choker necklace back! If you remember the good old choker necklace that was all the rage in the 90s, it may be time to dust off your old jewelry and take it out for a spin. Or, you can try newer versions of the choker necklace that look best with V-neck tops, strapless dresses, or deep cut blouses. Like they sound, choker necklaces should be worn as close to the neck as possible to complement your décolleté and elongate your neck.

  1. Floral Jewelry: If you’ve always been a fan of girly accessories, then 2012 will be your year when it comes to jewelry. There are many new pieces hitting the market inspired by flowers and decorated with buds, petals, and floral arrangements. Look for flowery jewelry when it comes to bracelets, necklaces, rings, and even brooches to spruce up a boring blouse.

  1. Tribal Inspiration: If you’re a bohemian at heart, pick up necklaces and bracelets that are inspired by a tribal design. Colors like ivory, brown, khaki, red, and gold will go perfectly with a long sundress or Capri pants in warmer weather.

  1. Hair Jewelry: This trend for spring 2012 started at bridal runway shows and has been seen at quite a few red carpet events. Accessories for the hair like headbands, tiaras, and barrettes provide a unique way to decorate your look without wearing traditional jewelry. If you don’t want to go out and buy a brand-new hair accessory, simply pin a decorative brooch into your hair for the same effect. The more creative, the better when it comes to dressing up your hair for the season.
