Dancing With The Stars- Season 14 Week 2: The Jive & Quick Step
Roshon & Chelsie Hightower started off the night with a quick step and the youngest couple of the season definitely set the bar high! It was crisp, traditional and fresh still. 26/30
Sherri Shepherd & Val Chmerkovskiy give us a Jive to Proud Mary and I believe Mary would be PROUD. Sherri always has a great time with her dancing there were a few flubs but she kept going and did well. 23/30
Melissa Gilbert & Maksim Chmerkovskiy danced the quick step also and I have to say they’re quite a good pair-up, Maks is a tough partner to have but he has her working like a pro on the second week already. 20/30
Jack Wagner & Anna Trebunskaya are up next with a Jive, I happen to love when she does the Jive, but he seemed so disconnected from her at times. He definitely gave a good effort and will need to tighten up his moves if he intends to stick around. 21/30
Gladys Knight & Tristan Macmanus danced the quick step, she definitely improved from last week and looked like she was having a blast I think that if she sticks around she may give these young whipper snappers a run for their money. 19/30
Katherine Jenkins & Mark Ballas dance the Jive, they make such a cute pair… the song was very fast paced but I have to say Katherine just solidified that she’s a top contender to look out for. Lovely Jive! 26/30
Jaleel White & Kym Johnson also followup with a Jive of their own, and I have to say their song choice for me was a dud… it made it hard to REALLY get into. I think he needed to really pick up the pace and tighten his moves up too. 22/30
Maria Menounos & Derek Hough dance a Bonnie & Clyde inspired quick step, it was very fun to watch… kind of hard to tell how well her footwork was because they kept cutting away. I think she did well though. 25/30
Martina Navratilova & Tony Dovolani dance a jive, it was hard for me to focus because her outfit was so hideous… you can tell she is trying her best and I can definitely appreciate that, but she’s going to have to step it up a lot more in order to stay around. 17/30
Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd danced a whimsical and clean quick step, I love how light he is on his feet. Their dance was awesome; clean, elegant, and definitely makes him a top contender! 24/30
Gavin Degraw & Karina Smirnoff do the Jive, he looked like he had a lot more fun with this dance and did much better than last week… the Jive is a tough dance, I definitely saw improvement. 21/30
William Levy & Cheryl Burke dance the quick step and all I can say is there is a reason she’s a champ! She whipped him into shape… the footwork was off a bit but definitely entertaining and pleasing to watch… and that’s in ADDITION to him being eye candy. 25/30
I’m definitely not sure who will be sent home tomorrow, so much talent and a few flubs here and there but I saw improvement for everyone today so it’s tough to say.
