Sassy Celeb Moms Making Motherhood Look Fierce! – Get The Look For Less

Celeb moms, are they really that different from us? If you’re shaking your head “yes”, I’d tend to agree with you. While they deal with many of the same difficulties—post-baby weight, the terrible-twos, work-life balance, etc—the amount of help available to them usually makes their day-to-day life as a mom, a little easier.

So what are the rest of us supposed to do without the help of a full-time nanny, cook, housekeeper, and my personal favorite, a stylist? My answer: Get at least six hours of sleep, eat well, exercise when you can, and don’t underestimate the power of a glass of wine or piece of chocolate. Oh, and keep reading for a few celeb mom looks on a real world budget to help survive the personal- stylist-free life.

Pendant Necklace | Bracelets | Blouse | Lace Shorts | Tote Bag | Wedges

Jennifer Lopez, J. Lo, Jenny from the Block, no matter what you call her, there’s no denying the woman has style. This neutral look is perfect for spring and summer! Off-white or beige colored shorts pair well with a flowy blouse for a simple, comfortable outfit –and while J. Lo looks fab with a cropped top, I say, tuck that baby in. Nude heels or wedges lengthen your legs, though nude or brown sandals are also an option if you’re not interested in adding height. Finish off with a neutral colored bag to tote around your necessities and basic jewelry. You’ve got yourself an outfit that’s great for dropping kids off at school and lunch with the girls!

Round Sunglasses | Sweater | Cropped Jeans | Jacket | Loafers | Printed Scarf | Shoulder Bag

New mommy Beyonce knows how to dress up a casual outfit to achieve the grocery-store-chic look. For spring and summer, combine a basic pair of black or dark wash cropped jeans with a striped tee or sweater. Mixing prints is popular this year, so add a printed scarf in the same color palette to add texture. Throw on a leather jacket, or a more budget friendly faux-leather jacket, and loafers to complete the outfit. Accessorize with a pair of dark sunglasses and crossbody bag and you can go from the park to dinner without a wardrobe change.

Shield Sunglasses | Top | Jeans | Shoulder Bag | Peep-Toe Heels | Ikat Pashmina

A far cry from her Sex in the City days, Sarah Jessica Parker’s newest flick, I Don’t Know How She Does It, is probably totally relatable for many moms. And while SJP hasn’t totally said goodbye to her fashionista days—note the heels—this outfit is certainly much more comfortable and versatile. Try it yourself by rolling up the hem on a pair of skinny jeans for the warm months, and adding a flowy, sleeveless blouse. If you’re feeling brave, wear with peep-toe heels or wedges, though black sandals are just fine. Again, use prints to add dimension to your ensemble, like this Ikat Pashmina. Shield sunglasses, to hide from the paparazzi of course, and a shoulder bag complete the look. Finally, go from day to night by nixing the scarf and adding a leather jacket and jewelry.

These simple outfits can be dressed-up, dressed-down, mixed and matched to create a variety of comfortable, but stylish looks. See, real life mommy-dom isn’t so bad after all! Now someone pass me the chocolate…
