Dealing with Food Allergies #infographic

Having a food allergy can add a lot of stress and worry to your life. You want to be able to eat whatever you’d like, but instead you spend your time making sure that certain foods or ingredients are avoided in order to keep you from having an allergic reaction. It is important to take all of the precautions you can to not only avoid food that can trigger a reaction but also so you can get the treatment you need immediately if you run into any problems. The main treatment for food allergies is to completely eliminate the allergen from your diet. It is also a good idea to carry a syringe of adrenaline (epinephrine) so that you can self-administer it if you have an attack. People who have had anaphylactic reactions should also wear a medical alert bracelets or necklace to give more information to responders if they have a reaction.
