Bad Food Habits Play Havoc With Your Body, Hair, And Skin – Remember the time when you and your roomie back in college would gobble down Pepperoni pizzas, fries and sugary sodas every day? At that time, junk food may have been your staple diet, but only after you turn 25 do you truly begin seeing the repercussions of it. A poor diet results in your skin breaking out, hair falling out and your energy levels seeing an all time low. Though high in flavor, junk food lacks the nutrition your body needs to function properly, and as a result, it impacts both your internal well-being and external appearance. A wholesome diet rich in fruits, veggies, protein-rich poultry and lentils, and healthy fat rich nuts, fish, avocados, etc. can do wonders to improve your overall physical health and skin and hair quality. You surely wouldn’t want crow feet and gray hair by the time you turn 30, would you??

Inadequate Shut-Eye Makes You Look Older Than You Are – You realize in your mid and late 20s that sleeping less does not only make you inattentive, irritable and groggy but also makes you look like a puffy-eyed monster the next morning. If that wasn’t enough, lack of sleep also hastens the process of aging, a study by the University Hospitals Case Medical Center suggests. The study further reports that poor sleep habits result in increased appearance of fine lines, uneven skin tone, and saggy skin. It’s not for nothing that they call it beauty sleep!

Sleeping With Makeup On Is Disastrous – Back in your early 20s, after the late night parties, there’d often be times when you’d come back home and head straight to your bed without removing your makeup. You realize the hard way over the years that the habit of sleeping in your makeup is terrible for your skin. It gives rise to pimples and blemishes overnight as a result of pores getting clogged due to makeup. It also results in premature aging because the free radicals accumulated on your skin during the day don’t get cleaned away. These free radicals thereby result in the breakdown of collagen, increasing the appearance of wrinkled skin.

A Go-To Beauty Routine Saves The Day – Time crunch is a part and parcel of getting older and wiser. Over the years as our number of responsibilities increase, we often find ourselves rushing to meet deadlines. In a situation like such, a planned and set beauty routine saves a lot of time. It immensely helps to chalk out a daily day and night makeup routine and stick to it. In terms of hairstyles, maintaining a standard or keeping about 3-4 simple alternations that are easy to maintain and suit your hair type is always a good idea.

Minimalism Is Always Classy – While you may have reserved your early 20s to experiment with your hair colors and makeup trends, by the time you’re 25 you figure that the classics always remain in style. You are finally able to pin down a hair color that suits you and stick to it. You tend to choose subtle, and subdued makeup looks over bold and edgy styles. You like to keep it toned down and minimalistic, while still having fun with the vibrant shades of lipstick. How else would you manage to nail that perfect pout for Instagram selfies?
