My Fun In The Sun Checklist: But First Let Me Get Protected!

I’ve been working really hard lately on getting things going for my new fashion brand Ife Medow. As they say work hard, play hard. Everyone has their favorite season and for me Summer is it, I love when I get a chance to go to the beach or just being able to eat ice cream at the park. Recently I wrote a list of 5 Ways You Can Enjoy The Summer With Friends and Family, but it really got me thinking about my own personal Fun In The Sun Checklist. So I definitely wanted to share with you all a few really great things I’d like to do before the summer is out. Since I plan of grabbing all the sun I can it’s important that I have the right protection, that’s why I was more than excited to try out the Hawaiian Tropic® Silk Hydration™ Weightless Sunscreen! When I made my list of “Smart Choices You Can Make This Summer” wearing sunscreen was right at the top of that list because it’s TRULY important. Our skin is the largest organ on our body and really quite sensitive, we have to take care of it as best we can. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, the required level is SPF30. So when I went to Walmart to grab my Hawaiian Tropic® Silk Hydration™ Weightless Sunscreen I made sure to get the SPF30 option for a great amount of coverage, it has a Safe and effective broad-spectrum UVA and UVB sunscreen. What I loved most is how it felt just like lotion, barely there and not sticky and it smells like a Hawaiian vacation in a bottle too. The scent is like a summer breeze in Hawaii wafting of flowers in the air. The best part is that it’s water-resistant for up to 80 minutes, which means I can add water activities to my fun in the sun checklist! Now that I knew I had my skin protection in check it was time to make a list of fun things I want to do this summer, check out what I came up with below.

Go To An Amusement Park- Even though we have a Six Flags Over GA, I haven’t been in such a long time lol. I think this is the year to break that streak.
Visit Zoo Atlanta – Can you believe in over 20 years of being in Atlanta I’ve never been to the Zoo here? Yep, adulating LOL. I’ll make sure to get away this summer. Visit The Georgia Aquarium – Another thing on my list that I’m almost embarrassed to say that I have been to… apparently I need to play more. Try Zip Lining – I’ve heard that Historic Banning Mills has some pretty awesome zip lining tours, I’ve never been so it’s also on my fun in the sun list.
Attend A Butterfly Festival – Butterflies are some of my favorite things to observe, my Grandma always used to say that when you say a butterfly it was good luck or somebody was watching over you. There are quite a few festivals and nature centers in Georgia, it would be great to check one out this summer. BEACH TIME! – I recently visited LA and went to Hermosa beach, I would love to go back and try out a few other beaches out there. If not Florida isn’t too far away, I may take a trip down to Clearwater Beach. It’s one of the best beaches in the country anyway. With my Hawaiian Tropic® Silk Hydration™ Weightless Sunscreen I’m sure it will be like I’ve been transported to Hawaii. I know I definitely could use some Aloha Therapy.
As you can see I’m going to need all the Hawaiian Tropic® Silk Hydration™ Weightless Sunscreen I can get lol. Without overwhelming myself, these are just a few of the things I’d like to try and experience this summer, just for me and my own personal self-care. I know it’s going to be a fun summer with all your family and friends, but make sure you carve out a bit of me time in the middle of it all. Self-care is really important and sometimes I think we get in the habit of putting ourselves last.
