The fun of doing this workout can be doubled by joining some sports league if available around your place. Think of it!

Walk your way to Fitness

It is the easiest way to stay fit, in case you don’t know it yet. Walking can help tone your legs, glutes and tummy. With 2mph for 30 minutes, you can burn 75 calories. It is the best cardio you can give your body thereby benefitting your heart, bones, brain, hormones and above all energy levels. You can prevent a number of diseases by just walking. You can also walk barefoot on the grass, it is said to be good for the eyes. Do not take elevators, walk the stairs up. And all it requires is a pair of comfortable shoes.

When was the last time you set out with your friends on a hiking expedition. We all have been part of such endeavors when we were young. Why not indulge in it again. It is ironical that we undervalue the significance of our household chores. These simple looking and everyday movements have far-reaching results with respect to our health. You accomplish two tasks within the time period slotted for one. One, you finish your chores and second you workout as well. You can put on some music and set out on your two-in-one workout. But you must focus on the ones that help in burning calories the most like vacuuming or scrubbing. It may leave one feeling bad as you will sweat a lot. And the bonus is that you can do it within the confines of your home. Switch on a video, get your family members along and there is nothing more you require.

Track workout

Have you tried it yet? If no is the answer, then now is the time to do it. Running on the track is slightly different from running anywhere else. You may skip it sometimes and may not know about your progress at all. But when you run on a track, you will notice your progress every day, which will motivate you to excel more in it. Challenge yourself, increase your speed levels and see the change in your health over a span of time.

How to Get Back into Running after a Long Break


This is yet another interesting form of workout you can try to stay fit without going to the gym. This doesn’t necessarily require you to join a camp, simply create your own and do it at home or at the park alone or with your partner. High knees, jumping jacks, lunges, sit-ups, push-ups, tricep dips and many more can be included in the workout routine. An open environment will make this a complete fun. Do repeat them in sets to gain the benefits you want to have.

These workouts take place outside the gym, so there is very little chance of boredom. Do them. Stay fit!
