4 Fantastic Date Night Ideas in Dallas

Dallas has a wide range of night entertainment and activities to choose from. If you’re planning a date night in Dallas, you actually have plenty to choose from. In this article, however, we are going to focus on some of the more interesting and romantic things you can do on a date night in Dallas. Let’s get started, shall we?

4 Fantastic Date Night Ideas in Dallas

Dallas from Above

One of the best things you can do on a date in Dallas is enjoy the city from above. At sunset, when the day turns into night and the city lights start to create this gorgeous ensemble of colors, being able to enjoy it from above is always a magnificent experience to share with your partner. A good way to do this is by renting an airplane or going on a private flight.

Dallas has a lot of great charter services, each offering their services at affordable rates. You don’t need to spend a lot on the flight too. Most of the time, a simple one- or two-hour flight around the city is enough to enjoy its beauty.

You must also get your camera ready for the trip. This is a moment you may not want to forget and can be a very special date nonetheless. Being able to capture the moment in pictures is definitely a great idea.

Great Shows at the Majestic Theater

The Majestic Theater on 1925 Elm Street is a great place for a night out in Dallas. This is where a lot of interesting, must-watch shows are performed. It is also the home of Dallas’s best plays and events. Time your date correctly and you will be able to spend the night at the Majestic Theater Dallas, watching Thalia or Under the Streetlamp, before going out for dinner while talking about the show.

The Majestic Theater is also situated near a lot of fine restaurants. The famous Dallas Chop House may not be the best restaurant for a romantic dinner, but you can sure have a lot of fun – and an amazing meal – on a less formal date at this restaurant. You can also choose to visit the Dallas Fish Market and Wild Salsa for some meals.

The classic architecture and the exterior lights of the theater itself are beautiful. You can share cups of coffee while sitting at a nearby coffee shop, waiting for the show to start while getting to know each other better.

Get Away from the City

If you’re tired of the hustle and bustle of Dallas, then this next date idea may just be the one for you. There are several great places to visit for a retreat and a romantic getaway in the evening. The Nutt House Restaurant is a great place to consider if you are thinking about a quiet dinner followed by a romantic evening in front of a fireplace. You can even catch a show at the Granbury Opera House to complete the evening.

The Four Seasons is another great place to consider for a quick evening getaway. The place is situated close to the city center, so you won’t have to spend a lot of time on the road. As the name suggests, the Four Seasons is always a great place for a five-star dining experience. After a three-course meal, you and your partner can hit the hot tub and enjoy some champagne.

A Jazzy Night Out

We can’t really talk about a date night in Dallas without talking about jazz. There are a lot of jazz clubs around town, but The Balcony Club is definitely the one to visit when you’re on a date. The place has a very cozy atmosphere and some great drinks to try. You can also enjoy a light meal while watching live jazz performances at the venue.

The Balcony Club is the home of many great live performances too. Be sure to check the schedules before planning your date night and you may get the chance to see your favorite jazz and blues artists playing a live gig. Afterwards, you can head over to the Times Ten Cellars for some wine and even dinner.

If blues is something you enjoy a lot, a date night at the House of Blues Restaurant & Bar is also worth considering. Entrée portions are huge at this place, so be careful when ordering. You will also be able to catch some great live performances at this place.
