1. Simple Braids Can Make You Look Exotic

Dry shampoo your hair first so it doesn’t appear too oily. Make a side parting to the left or right of your head. Then push all your hair to the other side of the parting. Braid your hair into a single plait on that side. If you like, you can pin the braid on the back of your head with an exotic clip. The oil in your hair will keep your braid in place.

2. Section That Ponytail in Medieval Style

Brush your hair up at the sides, and push it underneath the hair at the top, raising the top part an inch or two. You can tease the top of your head to bring the hair further up. Then band your hair at the nape of your neck or at the back of your head. Divide the ponytail into sections using individual hair ties. Stretch each section a bit to add a bit of bounce. No one will notice your oily hair when you try this bouncy, youthful hairstyle.

3. Nothing Wrong with the Braided Bun! Only Sexy.

A braided top-knot looks sexy and is perfect for oily hair. Push your hair up into a messy top knot, leaving out a small section of hair on the side. Braid the free section and wrap it around your top knot and secure with a cute rhinestone pin. Cute, sexy and glamorous – this is the kind of hairstyle you can amp up with a bit of bling as well.

4. Gorgeous and Dreamy Wispy Waves

This one is for short oily hair. Dry shampoo your hair first to achieve those gorgeous and dreamy wispy waves. Dry shampooing will absorb most of the greasiness and leave your hair clean looking. Create waves using a straightener to add some bounce to your hair. Toss your hair about a bit and arrange it around your face properly and you’re all set.

5. Comb It All Back into a Gorgeous Poufy Hairstyle

Make two sections of your hair – one front and one back. Keep the front portion separate using hairpins. Comb the back section of hair and create a neat ponytail with it. Now take your front hair section and back comb it using a thin comb. Pull the hair back, pouf your hair and hold it in place with pins. Spray your hair with a styling spray to hold the poof and the ponytail in place, and to add some volume to your hair.

6. Chic French Braid Top Knot

Flip your hair upside down till all of it hanging over your face. Then brush your hair down from the back till it is sleek. From the nape of your neck, build a French braid till you’ve done about half your hair. Now roll up the remaining hair into a bun, from the front and secure it with pins. The result will be a bun with a French braid at the back of it. Super cool, easy and looks like a million dollars.

7. Wrap That Ponytail with Your Hair

If your hair is really extremely oily, try this hairstyle. Dry shampoo and brush and then hold all your hair up in a ponytail, except one section. Now take that section of hair till you get to the base of the ponytail with it. Start twisting the spare section of hair and then circle it around and around your ponytail. Fix it with pins and decorate the twisted hair with rhinestone pins for a glam look.

8. Twisty Rope Bun

Take a middle parting and brush your hair till it sits perfectly. Now take a small section of hair from each side and twist them individually. Bring the two twisted ropes to the nape of your neck and pin it up. Now gather the rest of your hair into a bun and pin it up where the twisted sections are tied. Spread the bun out a bit and add some pretty pins to it along the twisted ropes. Add a few drops of Botanic Universe floral water to your styling brush while making the bun, and you’ll not only look great but smell wonderful as well.

9. A Messy Bun for Messy Hair

So many celebrities are doing the messy bun look, it’s become an iconic look on its own. In fact, the messy bun needs unwashed, oily hair.  Just tease your hair and make a bun high, or sideways, but keep it messy. Let a few strands of your hair frame your face in the front, as though you couldn’t be bothered to comb them in. The messy bun is a hit with any outfit you wear.

10. Side-Twist for That Innocent Look

Take a side parting, with more hair on one side. Now take up the larger portion of hair, twist it around your fingers, and twine it around the smaller portion of hair. You can pin this twisted bunch underneath your hair. This way you get a bunch of hair that you can style in rolls, falling down from one side with a twisty hair rope around it.

Conclusion

Don’t let oily hair annoy you; there are numerous styles you can do with oily hair that people with dry hair cannot. Oily hair tends to stay in place when pinned down as well. Give the above mentioned hairstyles a try and rest assured of garnering compliments from one and all.
