I can’t believe it’s been 6 years since the Cars 2 movie, but Cars 3 shows out with a star studded cast. Directed by Brian Fee, who was a storyboard artist on Cars and Cars 2, Cars 3 tells quite an important story of change. Cars 3 stars the voices of Owen Wilson, Cristela Alonzo, Armie Hammer, Larry the Cable Guy, Bonnie Hunt, Nathan Fillion, Kerry Washington and Lea DeLaria.

In Cars 3, our lovable favorite Lightning McQueen is faced with a mysterious new enemy… a flashy black car named Jackson Storm. It turns out that Jackson Storm is part of a new generation of racers who use the latest technology to run faster than veteran racers. This new generation is taking the veterans by storm, pun intended.

I loved how unpredictable Cars 3 was, it’s easy to fall into a flow with these movies but everyone that screened it left the theaters a bit surprised and loved the movie. I took my 6 year old niece and 15 year old nephew and they both loved it, so that lets you know that anyone from any age group will enjoy seeing the film.

Cars 3 mirrors society a bit, I think we often think we have to get rid of the old and replace it with the new. It was nice to see that nugget of wisdom sprinkled in there. Cars 3 makes for a great family movie, definitely something I recommend taking the kids to see.
