Movie Review: TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT

I’m always amazed by the direction that the Transformers movies can go. For someone like me that are up watching the cartoons, I can honestly keep watching forever lol. For the latest installment in the franchise, TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT takes us on an ancient journey from the times of Camelot to modern day. The last movie left off with Optimus Prime spiraling through space on a mission to find his makers. It was interesting seeing Optimus in a different light but the real star of this film was Bumble Bee, there are rumors of a Bumble Bee spinoff in the making too. He was hilarious and definitely made you fall in love with him more. Another favorite of mine was seeing Anthony Hopkins, I feel like his voice makes everything epic lol.

As a fan of stories about Merlin and the Knights round table, I really enjoyed that twist in this movie. I also loved being able to see the connection made with Sam Witwicky and The Transformers it takes things a bit more full circle. The movie is on the longer side, so I would encourage you to be prepared to see it but I enjoyed every moment of it and have actually seen it twice… once via screening and then I went to watch it again. I do think there are some loose ends, but it’s a movie series so that’s expected. I can’t wait for the next Transformers film. TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT makes for a great date night movie or something to see with friends. It’s a good family film if you’re not against the occasional cussing.
