Every so often you need a good night in to rest, recuperate and get a little me time. It can help you deal with the stress that has been building up and allow you to forget about the pressure of the previous week. A good night in can be all you need to feel better about yourself, so what do you need to make it feel complete?
Something To Watch
And, boy are there enough choices to choose from! A great suggestion would be to seek out one of the older sitcoms that were always good for a few belly laughs. As luck would have it, you have a fair selection. Friends has finally landed over at Netflix, and while some millennials may not be in on the joke, it’s still just as good as you remembered, albeit with some questionable episodes. You could easily get through a solid week just by watching all ten seasons, but for a night in, you can pick some of the classics such as the American Football Super Bowl episode which is absolutely hilarious.
Or, if you’d rather watch something knew that’s still a feel-good phenomenon you would seek out the brand spanking new season of Will & Grace. Revived after far too many years, they may look older, but the cast is still hilarious with great chemistry.
A Tub Of Ice Cream
No night in is complete without a tub of delicious ice cream that you can slowly sink your spoon into again and again until it’s all gone. We know you’re probably thinking that this is going to completely obliterate your diet, but that’s not necessarily true. You can spend a little extra and get low-fat ice cream that still tastes delicious. Non-dairy ice cream can be a treat too if you have decided to go vegan for the new year. Of course, if you want to be naughty you can melt some chocolate in the microwave, pour it over and add a few extra calories instead.
Comfy And Cozy
A night in means that you can wear whatever you want, and we have a few key choices to make sure you stay cozy. First, get yourself some slippers. With a felt slipper on each foot, your toes will stay warm even when you are wandering around the cold floors to the kitchen, looking for extra food. As well as this, get a fluffy dressing gown or robe and finish it off with a nice thick duvet that you can throw over yourself on the sofa.
Add Some Candles
It’s not just about being comfortable, it’s also about feeling relaxed. The best way to do this is to light some scented candles. The aroma will calm your mind and your body, allowing you to feel completely at peace as you let the night drift away from you falling asleep.
We hope you take our advice and have a wonderful night in this weekend. It could be just what you need if you’ve had a rough start to the New Year.
