How to Develop a Unique Fall Wardrobe
There are so many wonderful components that make up the fall season. Between pumpkin spice lattes and cooler weather, there are many reasons people welcome the fall with open arms. It’s also important to consider what’s covering those arms. Fall fashion is one of the most beloved types of the year. Outside of the scarves and warm sweaters, consider a few of the unique ways you can develop a stylish fall wardrobe.
Change buttons and zippers
Customize your coats, blazers and blouses by changing the buttons and zippers. Even a simple black coat can turn into a unique statement piece when you add shiny gold buttons or patterned buttons. Visit a local fabric store to purchase tons of different buttons and zippers. You can also try sites like eBay and Etsy to find one-of-a-kind options that’ll get delivered straight to your front door.
Incorporate bold prints and patterns
There are specific prints and patterns that work perfectly for each season. When you’re looking at the fall season, consider black and white stripes, red, green or white plaid and leopard prints. Another classic option is houndstooth. A great houndstooth coat or a red plaid blazer will create a bold statement that’s fashion-forward, yet classic.
Find a statement piece
A statement piece is an item that you can wear throughout the entire season. You can choose to try a stunning pair of eyeglasses or a bold necklace. Your shoes can serve as their own statement as well. Look for moccasins in your area, as they are classic, interesting and unique on their own. You can easily wear them with a pair of jeans and a t-shirt every day. If you prefer blouses or sweaters, choose colors that will match your moccasins well.
Try new accessories
If you’re used to wearing a simple gold necklace or a cute pair of pearl earrings, consider adding some different jewelry options like a nose ring or a pair of chunky bangles. Find a few fun crossbody bags that come in classic fall colors. Sometimes, the simplest of accessories can change your whole look—so don’t think you need to buy a whole new wardrobe to make a statement.
As you consider the incredible ways you can infuse style into your fall wardrobe, you might find that many of these concepts can be applied to your wardrobe throughout the entire year. Always look for ways to have fun with your style as it will boost your confidence, keep you looking great and maintain a sense of creativity. Be patient with yourself as you curate your own sense of style. You’ll develop a look that suits you in time.
