5 Sure Fire Ways Of Getting Rid Of Unwanted Facial Hair

For years many women have been doing battle with excess hair or rather hair removal. Irrespective of whether or not it’s something like peach-fuzz fringes or the darker, coarse, longer growth women have been focused on getting rid.

Some people find that the issue is caused by a medical concern, whilst others simply have their hereditary line to thank for this abundance of facial hair. Whatever the reason, thankfully there are a number of ways of getting to grips with the problem.

If excess facial hair is a concern then this post is definitely for you. Here we will be sharing 5 ways of removing these somewhat unsightly. Of course like anything else, some methods work better than others. Stick around to find out more.

1. Shaving

Picture the scene; you are getting ready for a night out on the town and just as you apply the finishing touches to your make-up you notice a couple of stray hairs. Sounds familiar?

Well, no need to panic here. Simply reach for your razor and in a few short seconds you can be all done. Whilst this method obviously won’t provide anything like permanent hair removal it does at least mean that you can get out on time.

Okay, you didn’t expect the tip to stop at that point did you? There is a little more that you should know.

When reaching for the razor, always ensure it is your one rather than his. The main reason for this is that men’s facial hair tends to be much coarser than women’s and as a result of this his razor will nearly always be blunter than yours. The last thing that you want to do is to find that you removed a layer of your skin as well as the offending hair particle. Not a great start to a night out, I am sure you will agree.

Oh yeah, if you like the idea of avoiding razor burn then always use a small amount of soap or shaving foam. For the uninitiated, razor burn is pretty painful and you might even end up wishing that you had left the offending hair for all to see.

2. Tweezing

A similar short term solution to that already offered by shaving, tweezing can be great for individual hairs. Be aware that repeated plucking is likely to invite the offending hair to grow back darker and thicker than previously.

The first step is to soften the area that you want to work on. A warm cloth placed on the area for a few minutes will have the desired effect of opening up the skin pore and indeed hair follicle, making it a little easier to extract.

After removal it is a good idea to close up the skin pore as this helps to prevent the reddening of the area. This can be achieved by using the same cloth, this time running it under the cold tap for a few moments beforehand.

3. Laser Hair Removal

For those who have a fairly hefty budget that they wish to throw at dealing with their unwanted facial hairs then laser hair removal might provide the answer. Certainly not a cheap option; however, permanent hair removal can be expected.

The thought of a laser on an area as sensitive as your face should hopefully mean that you seek out qualified and approved people. Saving a few bucks might be an attractive proposition, but not if it means that you have risked your health by using untrained staff or outdated equipment.

4. Hair Minimising Creams

Another great way of getting rid of pesky facial hair is by using some kind of hair minimising cream. This post isn’t going to support one cream over another so we won’t be delving into specific products here.

The basic premise here is that these creams won’t normally work to remove the hairs. So why bother? Well, over time they work to make them finer which of course can make them less noticeable.

5. Electrolysis

Certain areas of the face are always more noticeable than others, with the moustache area being a classic example of this. Of course in women this isn’t something that is anywhere near as desirable as it is for men. If the above rings true then you will want to deal with upper lip hair removal as a matter of urgency.

One solution for this could be a series of electrolysis treatments. This process is best carried out by qualified technicians as it involves the use of a needle with an electrical charge being inserted into your face. The offending hair is then removed with tweezers.

The Wrap-Up

Dealing with unwanted facial hair should hopefully now be a little bit easier. If nothing else this blog post will have demonstrated a few of the ways that it can be achieved.

Like many thing, cost and indeed personal preference will play a part in the decision making process. However, the good news is that you now no longer need to put up with unwanted facial hair issues.
