The Mortal Instruments – City Of Bones Movie Review

As soon as I saw the trailers for The Mortal Instruments – City of Bones I knew it was one I HAD to see. At first I didn’t realize it was based on a 6 part book series by Cassandra Clare, but, I’m glad I watched it with that knowledge. I always find it’s easier to watch a film series knowing that you wont expect completion lol. Anyway, the story takes place in New York and is centered around Clary Fray, played by Lily Collins, who begins seeing weird symbols and occurrences.

The film takes Clary on a journey of self discovery and realizing that the world she thought she once knew is full of secrets, and that our childhood nightmares and fantasies are more realistic than we know. Clary is guided on her journey by a HOT Shadow Hunter named Jace Waylan, played by Jamie Campbell Bower. If you’re into stories with vampires, werewolves, demons and such then I think this is worth a go. I enjoyed the movie, but I would say that a few things left me really bothered… however, since this is a series I’m hoping my questions will be answered in the next film.
