It is a good thing the payoff would be great because you will feel proud of your body when you have already accomplished your mission of losing weight. You won’t also feel attracted to such diseases such as cough and colds. Here are 5 foods you may want to stay away from if you really want to lose weight:

 

1) Soda

There is a myth that it is alright to drink soda as long as it is diet soda. That myth has now been proven wrong because there are still artificial sweeteners present in those soda bottles. Back to normal soda, if you take a look at the calorie amount for each soda can then you will be surprised at the amount of calories you will be putting in your body every time you take out one can. Instead of drowning your sorrows with soda, why not settle for water or fresh fruit juices?

2) Dessert

There is a reason dessert is called a sweet ending. Desserts like cakes and ice cream contain a lot of sugar in them. It is alright to indulge in cakes once in a while especially if it is somebody’s birthday. It may be a sweet ending for the meal but not for your diet. A good alternative for desserts would be brushing your teeth so it would take your cravings for sweets away.

 

3) Fast foods

The food at fast food restaurants may be affordable but they are not good to our health especially when their specialties are burgers, fries and milkshakes. Not only are they not healthy but they are also mixed with ingredients that are not good at all for the body. It would be alright to eat at fast food restaurants once in a blue moon but not all the time. A good alternative for fast food restaurants would be vegetarian restaurants.

 

4) Salty foods

Foods that are rich in salt are never healthy. Examples of these foods are French fries and potato chips. The makers of these things won’t really care about the health of their customers. The only thing they care about is the profit of their business and you can’t really blame them for thinking that.

 

5) White Rice

A lot of people have enjoyed getting that slim tummy just by staying away from rice. This is because rice is rich in sugar which means it has a ton of calories in it. It is usually in value meals though where it is paired up with meat. A healthy alternative to eating white rice would be brown rice.
