Atlanta Ballet’s Romeo et Juliette Review by Da Vinci #AtlantaBallet

I recently had the pleasure of attending Atlanta Ballet‘s Girls Night Out where a bunch of ladies and I enjoyed cocktails, girls talk and got to see a fabulous show, “Romèo et Juliette”. Atlanta Ballet’s Romeo et Juliette will be playing at the Cobb Energy Center until February 15th, 2014 so I wanted to make sure to share this with you all because it’s PERFECT for a Valentine’s Day date idea, AND tickets are starting at only $20. 🙂

We all know the classic love story of the young lovers of Verona, but seeing this production takes it to a new level. With dances Choreographed by Jean-Christophe Maillot, Music by Sergei Prokofiev and the enigmatic sounds of the Live Atlanta Ballet Orchestra led by guest conductor Ari Pelto I was very excited to watch this show.

The show is 3 acts long with 2 intermissions, so be prepared for that. There were so many scenes that had me locked in because the music was so powerful in telling the story. Because Juliette reads a bit older in this version, I found her struggle to be a bit more believable and relatable for anyone living Your Life After 25. As a lady who loves the arts I do prefer when a show has a more robust stage setting but the minimalistic stage design definitely allowed you to focus more on the music and the elegant movements of the dancers. Overall I thought Romeo et Juliette would make for a great date night or your own girls night out, which you can use a group discount for!
Your Life After 25 gives Romèo et Juliette 8/10
