Ok ladies, we’ve all been on the dreaded journey… you know the one “finding the perfect pair of jeans”. To an amateur of fashion, or even a man, this might sound like a trivial matter but the right pair of jeans can make MANY a fabulous outfit. For me I usually have a tough time finding something that has a flattering fit for the derrier, something long enough for my lanky but fabulous legs and something that has great coloring and won’t create “muffin top” lol. When I found out about American Eagle’s Denim Guide I KNEW I had to check it out and share my shopping experience with you all! Keep reading, because I DID find MY perfect pair of jeans.

When I started my jean journey with the American Eagle Denim Guide, I knew I needed 3 things to start; 1. a darker jean, 2. length, 3. a sassy and versatile fit. With that criteria in mind I was immediately able to look at the “fits and styles” on each model and then narrow my selection down.

Based on the fit and style I liked the Jegging, Mid-rise Skinny, Skinny, Straight, Kick Boot, Artist and the Boyfriend Jean. The American Eagle Denim Guide has over 14 fits to choose from so there is something for everyone, in addition to that they offer 60 wash options and 48 different size selections.

After careful consideration, I decided to go with the straight jean, once I clicked that it takes you to a comparison option image and also showed me the different straight jean options. Because I knew I liked a darker jean I chose the “Clean Rinse”. I also love that on each jean page there is a size chart and a guide on how to measure, in case you’re unsure of the jean size you need.

I pulled out my measuring tape to get an accurate measurement of my Rise because I wanted to make sure the jeans I chose were long enough and then voila! I ended up with my PERFECT fit of jean. I chose the ” SUPER STRETCH – STRAIGHT JEAN -Mid rise.” I got it in a size 6 with a longer leg. Check out my selection below 🙂
