Below are five heart-healthy family activities that you can easily incorporate into your daily routines.

Take a walk after dinner

Instead of sitting in front of the TV, get in the habit of walking around the neighborhood after the dishes are clean. Not only are you getting exercise as a family, but you can also get to know your neighbors while enjoying fresh air.

Sign up for a class

Whether it’s yoga, a tennis lesson or meditation class, studies have shown that family exercise strengthens bonds and muscles. Try something new that the family has never done before so everyone is learning together.

Have a dance party in your living room

Dancing has a wide range of physical and mental benefits including improved heart and lung health, in addition to naturally boosting your mood. Crank up the tunes and blast your favorite music in the living room for an impromptu dance party at home.

Host a weekly sports night

Each family member picks a card and performs the exercise pictures. You can make your own or buy a ready-made set of cars from a brand like FitDeck.

According to the CDC, about half of Americans (47%) have at least one high-risk factor for heart disease and several other medical conditions and lifestyle choices can put people at higher risk. The biggest part of cardiovascular health comes down to making healthy choices, and even small changes to our daily lifestyle can improve heart health and lower cardiovascular risk by as much as 80 percent. For a little more background, Springfree Trampoline is a one-of-a-kind Smart Trampoline and the safest trampoline on the market.
