Electricians handle a number of specific tasks that they are required to complete. 

  • Reading blueprints enables electricians to determine where electrical components such as panel boards, outlets and circuits are to be placed or found. 
  • Planning the wiring layout and installation through a series of buildings or an entire building. 
  • Installing electrical machinery inside factories. 
  • Placing fiber optic cables in commercial structures for telecommunications equipment. 
  • Installing systems that make it possible for fire alarms, security alarms, computers, intercoms and telephones to work effectively.
