4 Great Hobbies You Should Try
Hobbies are a great source of happiness. In fact, it has been proven that happiness and hobbies have a strong link. Not only that, but they are great for us mentally, emotionally, and physically. Hobbies can help you to lower your stress levels, widen your social circle, and even create a new business (if you want to). So if you are looking for a new hobby, then here is a list for you.

Writing
Many people grew up writing about their lives, hopes, and dreams in diaries. And over the years with all of the things that we have to keep on top of, that can fall by the wayside. Writing is a great creative outlet. It gives you a chance to work through things that are going on or create a whole new planet – depending on your preference.
You can choose to write into a notebook, on a blog, or simply on a word document. The choice is yours. Writing is the perfect way to vent, ask questions, and explore your thoughts and feelings more.
Music
If you have always wanted to get into music, it might just be time. You can use a program on your computer like Magix of GarageBand to create beats that you can sell online. You might opt to go more traditional and create music by playing an instrument. Many people start with guitar as there are so many free guitar tutorials online.
Or, you might choose to start listening to all of the new music releases, create the perfect playlists, and write reviews in a music blog. If you do choose to listen to a lot of music, if you are using headphones, make sure that you are resting your ears and that you are only listening to 60 minutes of music, at 60% volume at a time. Noise-induced hearing loss is the most common, you can learn more here about the different types. Be vigilant.
Cooking
If you like to try exotic flavors, but don’t always love the price tag attached to eating out, then it might be time that you learn to cook your favorite dishes. You can start off making things that are a bit more simple, and over time dive head-first into some experimental cooking. The great thing about cooking is that while there are recipes, there is so much room for experimentation that you can create unique dishes. And, the joy is – once you have spent all that time in the kitchen, you can eat it!
Cleaning
While this might not sound like the most enjoyable hobby, there is so much joy yo be had once you have completed your chosen tasks. Decluttering and cleaning can become pretty addicting when you get into it. Creating new looks and space in your home, selling things on eBay, upcycling furniture, and always having a clean home sounds pretty cool.
Choose a hobby that makes you happy, and build time to enjoy it into your life. Consider it ‘you-time,’ and a non-negotiable.
