Curing The Post 20s Blues
The big 30. It’s normal not to greet it with enthusiasm. For many people, entering your thirties is proof that you are growing up, whether you like it or not.
It is often a time to take stock of your life and see if you are where you thought you would be when you were celebrating your 21st birthday. For most of us, in one way or another, it isn’t.
Here are some tips to help you cure the Post 20 Blues and enter your 30s confidently.

Give Yourself a Makeover
A makeover when you turn 30 doesn’t mean you need to throw away everything flirty and fun. Quite to the contrary, this is an opportunity to re-evaluate your style, body, and financial resources and recreate yourself into the sexy, mature 30-something that you want to be. Here are a few key makeover ideas:
- Wardrobe. Take a long hard look in the mirror. Ask yourself whether your clothes are flattering. If not, throw them out and buy something new.
- Hair. Do you want to remind everyone that you’re young at heart with colored highlights? Maybe you want to go short and professional and embrace your growing maturity. Whatever you feel like, do something different with your hair.
- Skin. Ah, 30, the magical age when you can have both acne and wrinkles at the same time. Consider visiting the Institute of Natural Health for microdermabrasion to get rid of dead skin cells, reduce both wrinkles and acne, and make your skin glow.
Volunteer
For many of us, thirty-something is a unique time when we are getting tired of the things we did in our twenties but may not yet have the full responsibilities of adulthood. Take advantage of the time to get some experience volunteering. It’ll make you feel great to know that you are making a positive difference in the world and it can be the ideal cure for the Post 20 Blues.
Get a Pet
The thirties are often a time when we are settled enough in our careers to finally feel that we’re not going to have to move any time soon. Although you may still be busy, you may find yourself with a bit more time than you had before.
You may be having thoughts of a long-term partner or children. This is a great time to get a pet. Investing love and energy into a pet can help you get over the blues and prepare for your future with a dose of responsibility.
Enjoy Your 30s
Many people find their thirties to be one of the happiest times in their lives. This is a time when much of the confusion of adolescence and the twenties is over. You may feel more settled and secure than before.
At the same time, it’s hard to say goodbye to the carefree years of your twenties. Try following some of these tips to cure your Post-20s Blues and love your 30s.
