Moving Forward: Life After The Pandemic
The world is finally starting to reopen after one of the biggest shutdowns in history. Lots of industries are still affected but things are starting to look up. But, some things will never be the same again, so what should we look forward to after the pandemic?

Changing how we work
The world was plunged into chaos as we struggled to work from home. Some businesses shut their doors and will not reopen again. However, there was a surge of new businesses that opened their doors during the pandemic with our popular categories and favorite businesses taking on a new lease of life. As well as new businesses, people discovered that they loved working from the comfort of their own homes and are looking forward to keeping it that way.
Fashion and beauty
Self-care was at the top of the agenda when it came to beauty treatments during the lockdowns. As time wore on, people embraced the need for comfort. Now, part of the working day is spent in comfy clothes and slippers with a face mask at lunchtime. Now, there are full ranges of the softest fabrics with beautiful fits so that you can click away at your keyboard in style and comfort. This was not possible in the time before the pandemic and people have no desire to go back to how things were before.
We enjoyed our homes
As we were forced to spend more time in our homes, we realized how they work for us. Many people started creating plans for home offices and making the space work better for them. Some people realized that the place that they live in is not suitable and decided to move on. One of the biggest factors was working from home. As people were given the option of working from home, they had more freedom on where they could live. A commute was no longer an issue so they could move themselves and their family out to the countryside to enjoy some more space.
Family time
The first few days of lockdowns were tough as people felt lost. But once working from home and homeschooling kicked in, they found themselves bust in new ways. Spending time as a family can be tough, and a lot of people found themselves spending time with their kids for the first time in ages. Work commitments to keep the roof over their heads tend to take priority. But now, working from home means that we can spend a lot more time with our kids, even if it is in between filing reports and making dinner.
Discover new hobbies
We all binged watched Netflix in those first few weeks of the pandemic but we all got bored of staring at the TV eventually. After this, what was there to do? There was a huge uptake of new hobbies as people battled to keep themselves amused during the nights in. Cross stitch and knitting became the nation saviors as everyone took to YouTube to learn a new skill. Now, some people can binge watch Netflix and knit us a new jumper at the same time. Some people have ditched the hobbies but others have embraced them as part of who they are. If you managed to master a craft, you might have been tempted to take up another to help keep you busy.
Exercise
In those early days, the gyms were shut and everyone was indoors, it was tough. A lot of people took to the pavements to stretch their legs and discovered that they liked pounding the pavement. Maybe it was walking, maybe it was the fresh air. Whatever it was, they loved it. YouTube was also a palace of answers for fitness routines and getting sweaty. Now that we all have a routine, people are getting up and getting some mileage first thing in the morning before heading home, getting a shower, and sitting down to work from home for the rest of the day. For some people, this has done wonders for their mental health.
Life after the pandemic will never be the same, and we are excited to see what the future will hold for us all. Maybe we will continue to work from home in our comfy clothes, or maybe the world will return completely to normal. Whatever happens, we are sure that we can embrace it and roll with it. Whatever your plans are, we hope you enjoy life after the pandemic and have made some big plans for yourself going forward.
