Tell Us What Makes Your Mother So Special To You!!!

M – O – T – H – E – R

M” is for the million things she gave me,
O” means only that she’s growing old,
T” is for the tears she shed to save me,
H” is for her heart of purest gold;
E” is for her eyes, with love-light shining,
R” means right, and right she’ll always be,
Put them all together, they spell
A word that means the world to me.

  • Megan Quigley

My mom is so special because she has given me many opportunities like being able to go to college, etc. She always puts everyone other than herself first. She’s the best.

  • Kristen S

My mother is special because of her constant support.

  • Joanne Schultz

My mother’s been through a lot this last year. They moved in July and my father died in January. So, this would really help to raise her spirits.
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  • Sabrina ‘Fowler’ Adamson

My mother is special because along with always being there for me, since my dad died in 2004, it was nice to be there for her. Her parents (my grandparents) had just moved to within one mile of Mom’s house the fall before Dad passed away. It was nice to have them close to help her out. However, in 2008, Grandpa passed away. Ever since then, my mom has basically moved in with Grandma to take care of her. It hasn’t always been easy, but she wants to be there to care for her 92 year old mother until the end. I admire her dedication and selflessness in basically putting her life on hold for her mother.

  • marissia

She is special to me because she puts faith in GOD and always encourages me to pray when things get rough. She is loveable and always likes to give hugs and kisses. I miss my mom everyday because she lives so far away.

  • My sister is my substitute Mom. Always helping, always there for me. I just make a comment about a need or a want and before I know it, its a done deal. With four children of her own, she goes out of her way. She’s the best!

  • Diana

My mom is the most wonderful woman I know. When I was just 12 years old she was involved in a horrifc car accident with a drunk, elderly woman. She suffered massive injuries including severe burns from the exhaust of this woman’s car and had to depend on her family to care and nurture for her in her time of need. Throughout all that pain and sacrafice, she always showed us how much she loved us even if she couldn’t always be there for us in other ways. She is the most courageous and loving person I know, and has taught me much about survival and the power of love and family, she is the heroine of my heart.

  • Joleen Gardner

My mother is special because she is always available to listen and she is not judgemental. She offers good advice as I learn to become a mother, too!

  • Bryan J

My mom is special to me because she is my mother; just like your mom is special to you.

  • Shanna

My mom has the best “mothers intuition.” If it were not for my mom I would not be here today. In 2005 my mom diagnosed me with a rare disease called Cushings. I am so grateful to have her and to be alive to enjoy her company!

  • Lisa

She is always with me in spirit <3

  • richard randazzo

Afew years back i was in the hospital for 3 months, she never left my side . Without her there for me i don.t think i would be here today if it wasn’t for her faith in me and GOD.

  • Pauline Milner

My Mother is my best friend. I could not ask for a better Mother. She is the best. She has always been there for me. We share a lot of great times together. We talk every day on the phone and see one another whenever possible.

Each year, we go on a one week vacation together, just the two of us. We always make such special memories on those occasions.

My Mother certainly deserves the best of everything that life has to offer.

Thanks for the great giveaway opportunity. ~Pauline

  • My Mom is special because she saved me from being homeless last year even though she barely had enough money to get by on her own. If it weren’t for her, I would surely have been living on the streets and I thank her from the bottom of my heart for that!

  • Aliyah

My mom is special because of the many obstacles she has overcome. She had me when she was young and at the time did not have a job. There was a time where my mom had to scrounge thee floors for spare change to get a meal for me. Just recently she sacrificed herself for my well being, whether than meant skipping her own doctors appointments to make sure I was okay (to pay the bills) or skipping meals just to feed me, she has always been by my side. Like many other, my mom has and will always be the most thoughtful person I know.

  • Susan Smith

My mother is special because of her support. She always there if I need someone to talk to and to ask for advice.

  • My Mom makes you feel good regardless of your situation. A hug from her makes everything alright.

  • Diane Wortman

My mom is special because she came from a family of 15 children and had to help raise many of them. That wasn’t enough to scare her from having 6 children of her own and raised them despite financial hardship.

  • Beverly Schalk

My Mom is like so many other mothers that she doesn’t do nice things for herself — she always gives to the kids and grandkids first. It would be nice to have something that is just hers for a change.

She would do anyhting for me and my brother and is very much deserving of a little Mother’s Day fun. Thanks!

  • Dina J

My Mom was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1980 and became paralyzed from the waist down in 1990. She has a very hard time balancing and sitting up, so she is always in bed. My Dad has been taking care of her for 22 years! Even though she is stuck in bed and can’t venture out in the world anymore, she always has a smile on her face. She says to people “All I can do is be thankful that I have my children and a wonderful husband who loves me” She is always positive which gives me strength! I admire her so much and hope to be more like her! @DinaJ on Twitter Dina J Lindquist on Facebook

My mom is incredibly generous and supportive. No matter how different our paths have been – she is always there for me and will do whatever she can to help me or my siblings. Or anyone else really. She is constantly donating her time, money and personal possessions to help others in need and I think the fact that she has 4 incredibly intelligent, well-rounded and successful children (not even including me!) is a testament to how awesome of a mother and person that she is!

  • Lisa S

My Mom is special because I now know she is always there for me. I had to have a major surgery in March of this year. My Mom not only flew to be by my side, she stayed with me for two weeks and nursed me through my recovery. She’s awesome and has definitely earned a treat!

Hi, my Mom recently retired and she is still doing so much, practically working a full-time job taking care of her poor adult kid who has recently had knee surgery. By that I mean taking her to doctor appointments, picking up her mail, watering her garden, taking care of her dog, cooking for her… Mom you are always there, love you, (facebook, tracy koch englert)

My mother is special because she has overcome a lot of adversity in her life. She lost her mother to cancer in her late 20’s and in her early 50’s found out she had cancer. My mother is special because not only has she made a huge difference in my life but in lives of hundreds of others. My mother is a teacher and has been for over 20 years. My mom is an inspiration and so special to me because even though she has had Parkinson’s Disease for over 20 years she continually tries to encourage me by praising me for my accomplishments. She continually radiates HOPE that her disease will someday be cured. She models to me to always have hope and an encouraging word to share.

  • My mom is special because she has made it thru strokes and has kept her sense of humor.

  • JenniferTorres

My Mom holds are family together while allowing her step mom and her mom in law to be the ‘center’ of the family. While we were growing up in the army. Mom made sure we knew our grandparents, aunts and uncles, and tons of cousins even thou we lived in Germany. When we got stationed state side, life did not get easier. My Mom was beside my sister during her weakest moments as well as being there me while I went to every doctor out there to figure out what was wrong. Then through surgeries to ‘fix me’ I had brain surgery for cavernous malformation when I was 15. I never knew how hard that was on my mother, until i had kids of my own. Fast Forward 20ish years. Now my Mom is still the ‘glue’. She has helped nurse her father in the last months of his life. Taken care of both her mother-in-law and step mom as they are getting older. She is a caring woman, who stays behind the scene, doing what needs to be done. Love You Mom

  • i believe all moms are one of a kind. each does something special for us that we don’t see at the moment but once we have kids we cherish those memories of her.

  • Tonya Delk Prescott

My mom is special because of all the battles she has overcome. She has overcome abuse and as struggled raising three girls on her own. She dedicated herself to protect us to the fullest of her abilities. She is a police officer now and continues to uphold the honor of serve and protect. She is a wonderful and fantastic woman that not only has raised her own children but also has raised one of my sisters children. In doing the things she does you will never hear her ask for anything but will always be in search of everything she can give. She works many hours and goes sometimes with very little sleep because she hears of someone in need and gives herself completely to help. All the while always being there for us girls or her family. For this I hold my mom as a precious and priceless Gem, one in which you rarely find anymore.

  • My mom is the greatest. She has always worked so hard just to raise us four children. She was a single parent and managed to teach us the best morals a parent can teach a child. We are a very close knit family and we are always there to help one another and she is the reason why. She is such a giving and loving person. She takes care of the elderly and she treats them better than you could ever believe. She is wonderful and such a very special person. Anyone who knows her would have nothing but wonderful things to say about her.

  • My mom was very special. Was tough when she needed to be, gentle when needed, a cheerleader when necessary, and a friend when it was called for. Shes no longer here, and I miss her

  • Eric S

Dedicate housewife and working Mom. She deserves far more than any gifts.

  • Tim

The reason my mom is special to me is because she was able to tolerate my antics when i was growing up without ever losing her cool. From broken dishes to baseballs through windows my mom always understood that we never meant any harm, but simultaneously taught us that there were consequences. Everything I accidentally broke had to be paid for by me by way of chores. That taught me the value of personal responsibility and hard work that I live by to this day.

  • Mary Withrow

Mom’s always there, on those rainy or sunny days, she’s there for anything

My mom has amazing strength. Growing up in the projects, she & my dad married at the age of 17. Mom is going to be 90 in July. She was a pioneer of her time – enlisting in the Navy when women weren’t encouraged to serve their country. After her service, she worked outside of the home – unheard of in the 1950’s. She set a great example of women’s lib before there was social awareness of equality. She taught me to set goals and to aim for the moon, because if you miss, you’ll land in the stars. Love you Mom!

My Mom just lost my Dad less than two weeks ago after 64 years of marriage. He developed Alzheimers five years ago and she cared for him with such love and understanding I tear up just thinking about it. When he had to be hospitalized we were with him everyday but the illness had left him unable communicate. We set up hospice home care and brought him home knowing that was his wish. He died the day he got home. Through it all my Mom shared a lesson in love that would inspire all of us. She has always been a strong and independent woman but this loss has hit her extremely hard. The way she loved my Dad was the way she has always loved her children, with devotion, kindness and a beautiful mothers love.

  • She is very loving and unselfish.

  • bc davison

  • Angella L

My mom deserves this because she would never get this for herself. She deserves a special gift.

  • My mom is one of the strongest women I know. She has devoted her life, unselfeshly to all her children. She has 6 children, lost triplets, and adopted her neice adding a seventh child to the mix. She goes without so her children can have everything they need. As the years have passed, we have continued to remain a close knit family, something that is rare to come by when a family is so large. Every Sunday during the summer you can find her and my dad hosting cook outs at their home to continue to keep everyone together when our lives pull us in seperate ways.

  • Jennifer Boyte

  • My mom is special because she is my best friend and confidante. She helped me so much when my daughter was born, and she has helped me with big life decisions. I love her sense of humor and sense of style. She is truly a great woman.

  • Linda Hayes

My mom is special because she has been both a mom and dad to me and my 3 siblings since I was 12yrs old. She worked full time and still took great care of us. My favorite thing my mom did with us was we would get to watch our favorite tv show together even if she didn’t like the show. My fav show was Star Trek. I know she didn’t have a clue what the show was about but she watched it with me and asked a million questions. The best thing she did was learn how to do the Mr Spock hand salute. It took her 5 yrs but she got it. Thats the pic I have on my face book page. I know she gave up a lot while caring for us thats why I will do what ever I can to make her happy.
