Live A Healthier Lifestyle With 100% Florida Orange Juice!

I've been watching the new a lot more lately and focusing on how many celebrities and people in general are getting new diseases or having health problems in general.  A common problem I'm seeing is that we are so busy with our day to day lives that so many of us aren't getting our yearly checkups done or even taking the time to take care of our bodies.  One of our members in the Your Life After 25 community actually brought this point up also.

Many people may not agree with Michelle Obama's views BUT something I think we can all agree on is that her campaign for American's to live a healthier lifestyle is much needed.  The fact is many of us are not eating as healthy as we should are missing out on many opportunities to get our vitamins an nutrients.  Eating healthy doesn have to be a chore, as many would think,  it's something as simple as eating more vegetables OR even drinking more Florida Orange Juice.  When I drink orange juice I can definitely see a difference in my body and day to day energy level.


For example, Did You Know…

A key recommendation of the Dietary Guidelines for Americans is to increase fruit intake.

– One 8-ounce glass of 100 percent orange juice provides half of the USDA-recommended daily fruit intake for most adults, based on a 2,000-calorie diet.

One 8‐ounce serving of 100 percent orange juice is a good source of potassium and folate and an excellent source of vitamin C.

These are three important nutrients that are under consumed in the United States, according to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.


So, even just eating more vegetables, eating more fruit or simply drinking more orange juice would drastically help your body and diet.  When eating healtier don't think of it as a negative thing, just substitute things over time and try new recipes to spruce up your healthy snacks.  Smoothies, yogurt, baking your meats, etc… we have a ton of recipes in our Sous Chef section if you need any cooking idea.

1.) Jumpstart your morning with a nutritious meal that includes protein, fruit and energizing nutrient-dense carbs.
2.)  When looking for a snack, think outside the box before trying to satisfy your cravings from roadside convenience stores or airport kiosks.

3.)  Outdoor grilling and dining is a great way for your family and friends to enjoy the warmer weather.
