This inculdes soaking up all the information they can before the baby is even here. They are bombarded with so much information it is difficult for them to remember everything. They have trouble remembering the important things. One of the most important things for a parent to keep in mind is the risk of SIDS and how to promote safe sleep. The best think you can do is to educate yourself about the risk factors and do everything you can to make your baby’s sleep environment is safe and uncluttered. Make sure you share this information with any one who will be watching your baby. Also, make sure you share this information with anyone who will be having a baby in the future. The more parents and family we educate, the fewer babies will suffer from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
