How My Journey Running Errands Turned Into A Healthy Snack Emergency! Target Run To The Rescue!
We’re on the second leg of the year and things are about to get busy… not only is it Back to School shopping time but Labor Day will be here soon and then the holidays. Today is a day for me to handle a lot of errands and just think over life, lol. As I sit in the car and contemplate my next moves for this second half of the year, my tummy starts to grumble and a ladylike grumble either lol. I still have a few errands to run and I keep passing by unhealthy food options, which are always too convenient. But as I’ve said before, I’m really trying to eat healthier and part of that is planning for appropriate snacks.
Once I pulled in to the Target by my house, I found myself perusing the aisles and getting hungrier by the second. This made me think about all the ways we probably overspend while shopping when we’re hungry, lol. Anyway, I finally found my way to the ZonePerfect® Snack Bars aisle…. keep in mind they’ll either be in the main pantry or pharmacy section of your local Target. I’m making sure to highlight that because I searched through a few aisles in the pantry before I made my way to the Pharmacy, lol… There are a ton of great ZonePerfect® bar or Perfectly Simple™ flavors from Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough to Strawberry Yogurt, which is the one I grabbed. They come in either a 5 pack box or a 10 pack box. Because mine were in the Pharmacy section, I was happy to skip the lines in the front and just check out at the Pharmacy.
As soon as I was able to break into that box, I did… and let me tell you, when I’m hungry I can become a bit of a a grump. Once I took a bite of my Strawberry Yogurt ZonePerfect® bar all I felt was happy happy joy joy, lol.
So what valuable lessons did we learn today? LOL
1. Always leave the house with easy to carry snacks
2. Don’t shop on an empty stomach
3. Feed me or I’ll be come a meanie
