4 Careers That Will Have You Jet Setting Around The Globe
If you are seeking a job that isn’t the usual nine to five then there are a few options for you. There are jobs out there that could have you traveling the world, you might think these are limited to careers such as a translator but you would be wrong. Take a look below for a few ideas for jobs that will have you cruising around, quite literally.
Flight Attendant
The first job that comes to mind when you think about working around the world might be a flight attendant. You also might think that is just a career for young, single females. This is not the case and anyone can apply to be a flight attendant. However do be aware that the interviewing and testing part of this can be somewhat tricky and not a lot of people qualify.
If you have a fear of flying then this could be the perfect career to overcome this. You get to stay over in some amazing places across the world. You could quite literally be in a different location each day.
English Teacher
If you want to make use of both your language and people skills then travel the world teaching English. If you are young and contemplating where life will take you then you could take a gap year traveling to less fortunate places in the world teaching them the most common language in the world. You could also do this when you retire, especially if you have a teaching background. People are always so grateful to receive good quality teaching and you may even change someone’s life.
Sportsman
A career that not many people associate with worldwide travel is a sportsperson, unless they are part of the Olympics for example. However, this is one of the funnest careers to have especially if you are good at your chosen sport. You don’t even necessarily need to be playing the sport, you could be commentating on it. Take for example, football or F1 commentators that you listen to when you watch the sport on television. If you love the sport then you will enjoy every aspect of being a part of it.
If you are wanting to pursue a career as a sportsperson but aren’t quite sure where to begin you could take advice from an expert. Let’s use golf as an example here, Stephen Troese Jr is an expert in the field and has given some lengthy interviews and Q&As on the subject.
Au Pair
Finally, if you love children and you want to travel and see the world then becoming an Au pair will be a career you fall in love with. You don’t necessarily need qualifications, however, previous experience is desirable. You need to know if you enjoy working with children in order to pursue this career. Usually with Au pairs you reside with the family and all bills are paid so the wage is pretty low. There are sites especially designed for Au pairs to find work abroad, there is even a scheme in America that takes people from Britain to work for them.
