3 Things to Consider When you Start Exercising
You may feel that exercise isn’t for you or you can live your life without working out and have no issues whatsoever. But that could mean you are missing out on everything a good workout has to offer. Adding in as little as 30 minutes of exercise 3 times a week is proven to have positive benefits on not only your fitness levels but your health in general including your mental health too.

These days it is so easy to find a workout routine suitable for you and your body. You don’t even need to take out an expensive gym membership if you don’t want to! From gentle yoga workouts to promote flexibility, stretching in a calm and relaxing space in the privacy of your own home to a fast and frantic aerobics class that moves and works every single part of your body in full instructor-led class. The choice of where and how you work out is completely up to you!
But what should you keep in mind when taking up exercise for the first time?
Suitable Nutrition.
When you are working, you want to make sure you are fueling your body correctly. You need to make sure you are giving your body everything it needs to work at it’s best as you push yourself out of your comfort zone. From drinking plenty of water to adding extra protein to your diet, making small changes can really have an impact on your body as you put it through its paces during your workouts.
Another thing to look at is making sure you are getting all the vitamins and minerals you need. Hundred vitamins have a range of supplements you can add to your diet to make sure you are getting all you need to help support you as you begin to train.
Appropriate Clothing.
This is different or everyone and every activity but making sure, at a minimum you have suitable footwear for your chosen workout will be beneficial to you in the long run. Splashing out on ‘looking the part’ isn’t going to improve the quality of your workout must but making sure what you do wear is cool and comfortable is something you should be focusing on.
Don’t Compare.
Comparison is the thief of joy and comparing your beginning to someone else’s middle or end will only distract you from what you are doing. Regaining your fitness is a marathon, not a sprint and you should set yourself goals based on what you can do and where you want to be.
So concentrate on you and how you can reach your goals and not on where someone else is or what they can or can’t do. Set your goals and put all your effort into achieving them from day one. Or even better, if you can get yourself a workout buddy, you can both push each other to reach your goals as you exercise and spur each other on.
